This moment allows them to forget about their struggles, problems, needs, and anxieties. When the young people are on the field, running after a ball or participating in a sports activity, they can set aside the burdens they often carry in silence. They enjoy what they’re doing, they laugh, they give their best, and they find joy in simple things. It’s a space where they can truly be themselves without fear of judgment, where their worth isn’t measured by what they have or where they come from, but by who they are. This environment of acceptance and camaraderie creates a unique opportunity to share the message of salvation. In the midst of games and fellowship, the gospel is presented naturally, without pressure, but with power. Hearts begin to open when they feel valued, heard, and loved. For many, this space is one of the few moments in the week where they truly feel seen. Here, they encounter people who genuinely care about them, who encourage them, correct them with love, and guide them toward a life with purpose. Beyond sports, what they are being offered is a chance to know Jesus, the one who can heal their wounds, give them identity, and fill the emptiness that the world has never been able to satisfy. That’s why every meeting matters, every conversation holds meaning, and every smile can be the beginning of a life transformed by the love of God.
